1. ABOUT HEJ HEMMA
Welcome to Hej Hemma.
Hej Hemma is operated by Socially Sanne, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands. Throughout these Terms of Service, the terms “Hej Hemma”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Socially Sanne, trading as Hej Hemma.
These Terms of Service apply to your use of hejhemma.com and to all purchases made through our online store.
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to offer our products and services to you.
By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy, Return & Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and any other policies made available through our store.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under applicable law.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to make a purchase through our store.
When placing an order or creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current and complete information.
If you create a customer account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that takes place through your account.
Customer accounts are optional unless otherwise indicated.
3. PRODUCTS
Hej Hemma offers physical and digital products inspired by Scandinavian and Swedish living.
We make every reasonable effort to display our products, colours, illustrations and product details accurately. However, colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, device settings, production process or materials.
For handmade, printed or print-on-demand products, minor variations in placement, colour or finish may occur as a natural result of the production process and do not necessarily constitute a defect.
Product descriptions, availability and specifications may be updated from time to time.
We reserve the right to discontinue products or limit availability where reasonably necessary.
4. ORDERS
When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase the products in your cart.
After placing your order, you will receive an electronic confirmation.
We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, for example if:
- a product is unavailable;
- there is an obvious pricing or product information error;
- payment cannot be processed;
- we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse; or
- we are unable to deliver the order to the destination provided.
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will refund the relevant amount using the original payment method unless another method is agreed with you.
Please check your order carefully before submitting it.
Where applicable, consumers may also exercise their statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights as described in our Return & Refund Policy.
5. PRICES AND PAYMENT
Prices displayed to consumers include applicable VAT unless clearly stated otherwise.
Any applicable shipping charges and other costs will be displayed before you complete your purchase.
The total amount payable will be shown during checkout before you place your order.
Payments are processed using the payment methods offered during checkout. Available payment methods may vary depending on your location, currency and order.
You agree to provide accurate and complete payment and billing information.
If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may contact you before fulfilling the order and give you the option to purchase the product at the correct price or cancel the order.
For destinations where customs duties, import taxes or other charges may apply, information will be provided where applicable.
6. PRODUCTION, FULFILMENT AND SHIPPING
Some Hej Hemma physical products are made to order or produced using print-on-demand production.
We work with third-party production and fulfilment partners. This means that products may be produced, packed and shipped on our behalf by a third party and may be dispatched from a location different from our business address.
Estimated production and delivery times are displayed where available. Delivery times are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.
We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, but this does not affect any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
If a significant delay affects your order, we will provide information where reasonably possible.
For consumer purchases, the risk of loss or damage remains with us until the goods have been delivered to you or to a person designated by you, except where you independently arrange a carrier that was not offered by us.

7. RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Consumers in the European Union have the right to withdraw from an online purchase of physical goods within 14 days without giving a reason, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
The withdrawal period begins on the day after you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods. If an order contains multiple goods that are delivered separately, the withdrawal period begins after the last item has been received.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us within the applicable 14-day withdrawal period. After notifying us, you must return the goods within 14 days.
Unless otherwise required by law or agreed by us, you are responsible for arranging and paying the direct cost of returning goods when exercising your ordinary right of withdrawal. Return instructions and the applicable return address will be provided in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.
Returned goods should be handled only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. We may reduce a refund where permitted by law if the value of the goods has been diminished as a result of handling beyond what is reasonably necessary.
When you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund the payments received from you for the returned goods, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option where required by law. Any additional delivery costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method are not refundable. We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or you have provided evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.
Some of our physical products are produced or printed on demand by our fulfilment partners. The fact that a product is made or printed after an order is placed does not, by itself, exclude your statutory right of withdrawal.
Different rules apply where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not conform to the contract. In such cases, please contact us before returning the product so that we can provide appropriate instructions. Your statutory rights regarding faulty or non-conforming goods remain unaffected.
Products that are genuinely made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised for you may be excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal where permitted by applicable law. This exception does not apply merely because a standard Hej Hemma product is produced or printed on demand.
Separate rules apply to digital content. Where digital content is supplied immediately and you have expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged the resulting loss of your right of withdrawal, the statutory withdrawal right may cease once supply has begun, as permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in our Return & Refund Policy or these Terms limits any mandatory statutory rights available to you under applicable consumer law.
8. FAULTY OR NON-CONFORMING PRODUCTS
If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not conform to the agreement, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order details and, where useful, photographs showing the issue.
Consumers may have statutory rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
These statutory rights are separate from and are not limited by our voluntary return arrangements.
9. DIGITAL PRODUCTS
Hej Hemma may offer digital products, including downloadable artwork or other digital files.
Digital products are supplied electronically and no physical product will be shipped unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Before purchasing digital content, please check the product description for information about file formats, dimensions, compatibility and permitted uses.
Unless otherwise stated, digital products purchased from Hej Hemma are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.
You may download and print digital products for your own personal use, subject to any additional licence terms stated on the relevant product page.
You may not:
- resell or redistribute digital files;
- share purchased files with others;
- upload the files for resale or distribution;
- claim the artwork or design as your own;
- use the files to create products for commercial resale; or
- otherwise commercially exploit the digital content without our prior written permission.
For digital content supplied immediately after purchase, consumers may lose their statutory right of withdrawal once performance has begun where they have expressly consented to immediate supply and acknowledged the loss of their withdrawal right, as required by applicable law.
Where the legal requirements for loss of the withdrawal right have not been met, your statutory rights remain unaffected.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, the content of the Hej Hemma website, including our original illustrations, artwork, designs, graphics, photographs, text, branding, logos and digital products, is owned by or licensed to Socially Sanne trading as Hej Hemma and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing a physical or digital product does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, modify, sell, license or commercially exploit our protected content without our prior written permission, except where expressly permitted by law or by a licence provided with a product.
“Hej Hemma” and associated branding may not be used in a way that suggests affiliation with or endorsement by us without permission.
11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Our website may contain links to, integrations with or services provided by third parties.
Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of independent third-party websites.
Third-party providers that help us operate the store, process payments, produce products, fulfil orders or provide other services may process information as necessary to perform those services.

12. RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY
Hej Hemma is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
However, any sales and purchases you make in our store are made directly with Hej Hemma.
By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not the seller of products purchased from Hej Hemma and is not responsible for the performance of the sales agreement between you and Hej Hemma, except to the extent Shopify separately provides a service directly to you.
Nothing in this section affects any rights you may have directly against Shopify under applicable law or under services separately provided by Shopify.
13. PRIVACY
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes certain personal information in connection with your use of our store and its services.
Please review our Privacy Policy for more information about how personal information is collected, used, shared and protected and about the rights available to you.
14. REVIEWS, FEEDBACK AND USER CONTENT
If you voluntarily submit a review, photograph, comment or other content to us, you confirm that you have the right to provide that content.
You grant us a non-exclusive right to use content you intentionally submit for publication for the purpose for which it was provided, including displaying a product review on our website.
We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, infringes third-party rights or otherwise violates these Terms.
We will not alter the substance of a customer review in a misleading manner.
15. ERRORS AND INACCURACIES
We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date.
Occasionally, information may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, availability, shipping costs or delivery estimates.
We may correct such errors and update information where reasonably necessary.
Nothing in this section limits your rights where you have already entered into a binding agreement with us or where mandatory consumer law applies.
16. PROHIBITED USE
You may use our website only for lawful purposes.
You may not use the website:
- to violate applicable laws or regulations;
- to infringe our intellectual property rights or those of others;
- to distribute malicious software;
- to obtain unauthorised access to systems or accounts;
- to collect personal information unlawfully;
- to engage in fraud, spam or deceptive activity;
- to interfere with the security or operation of the website; or
- to reproduce or commercially exploit our content without permission.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect our store, customers or legal rights.
17. AVAILABILITY OF THE WEBSITE
We aim to keep our website and services available and functioning properly.
However, we do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may temporarily suspend or modify parts of the website for maintenance, security, technical or operational reasons.
This does not affect rights arising from purchases already made.
18. LIABILITY AND CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or limits any statutory consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was entered into or for losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, these Terms do not affect your mandatory consumer protection rights.
19. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the extent necessary and, where appropriate, separated from the remaining Terms.
The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
20. NO WAIVER
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we waive our right to enforce it later.
21. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our products, services, business practices or legal requirements.
The version applicable to your purchase is the version that was in effect when the agreement was concluded, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
The current version of these Terms will be available on our website.
22. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer residing in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you under the laws of your country of residence.
Any dispute will be submitted to the competent court determined in accordance with applicable law.
Before starting formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter together.
